Why are you voting for a third party candidate?

I’ve already asked why you’re voting for Obama or McCain. But if you’re not voting for either of them, then who are you voting for and why? Are you honestly thinking a third-party candidate can win? Please, if you do, I’d LOVE to know your logic. Are you trying to send a message? Are you voting on principle, or just fed up with the two choices we’ve been given?

Decided that if I believe in a candidate (regardless of whether he or she can actually win) that I vote for that person. I’ve found I become far more involved personally when I do this. Ron Paul it is.

Because I don’t care about my vote and want to throw it away…

I will not vote for anyone who supported the bailout. Obama lost my vote with that issue. Where does the $840 billion come from when we have a record deficit already? From our children’s pockets, I think. My first response was to pick up a rifle and start shooting politicians, then I think that’s probably not a good idea. Thankfully, we have Ron Paul. A daily dose of campaignforliberty.com and my blood pressure goes down a little. Instead of doing nothing, I can listen to Ron Paul and follow his lead: Paul said support B.J. Lawson, so I sent him a donation. It’s not much, but it’s more than doing nothing.

I’d like to believe in democracy- and that the only moral thing to do is to vote for the person you want to be president- not a counter vote to the person you absolutley do not want to be president.

I read a funny editorial in a Boise Newspaper that said “this election is simple- if you want someone to take away your guns vote for Obama, if you don’t vote for McCain” It’s sad that voters have to evaluate who’s running the country in such simple terms.
