Zakaria calls Palin a “fundamentally irresponsible” choice for VP

Zakaria is right when he says Palin is unprepared to be VP, let alone the President. While we’re at it, I’m not sure McCain is ready to be President either. But then I see what the alternative is and I have to ask myself “What experience or skill does Obama bring to the table that Palin doesn’t have?” and I can’t think of a thing. Does he have more foreign policy experience? Not as far as I can tell, and if he does, he doesn’t have much of it. Does he have more experience running an organization? No, Palin actually has more executive experience than Obama, Biden, and McCain combined.

I don’t like either of the choices we have. I didn’t even like any of the choices we had in the primaries. I thought all the candidates on both sides were woefully inexperienced. I simply didn’t see them as being ready to lead this country, not that anyone is ever really ready, but these people were really not ready.

So whenever someone says they would be scared to see Palin as President, I have to wonder why they’re scared of her, when, according to Matt Damon, she only has a 30% chance of becoming President, whereas Obama, who has little if any more experience than Palin and has made his own share of nonsensical comments in public, has a 100% chance of becoming President if his ticket wins.
