Environmentalists Hurting the Environment Again

Once again, somebody tries to do something to help the environment and ends up making things worse. This time it’s ethanol, again. Apparently the increase in fertilizers used by corn farmers to grow increased amounts of corn to fuel the ethanol craze has resulted in increase runoff of those fertilizers into the Gulf of Mexico which has created a “dead zone” the size of New Jersey where fish and other sea life can’t survive. Of course this is incredibly destructive to the environment, not to mention it has decimated the fishing industry.
