What is fascism? My definition is that it is a high level of state, or government, control. Fascist governments typically restrict freedom of speech, control the press, levy high taxes on the populace, provide many social services, control major industries or the “means of production”, closely regulate financial services, and in sum restrict the freedom of the people in order to create a “utopian” society where all that is needed is provided by the government. Study the writings, statements, and governments of Hitler, Mussolini, Lenin, Marx, Woodrow Wilson, and FDR, and you’ll have a good handle on what fascism is.
