This time I’m keepin’ it real. I just stumbled onto this site and I find it hard to believe how much time, effort, and money people put into this stuff. In a nutshell, here’s the principal reason why I don’t believe stuff like this.
To pull off something like the 9/11 attacks would require the cooperation of a number of people. At least 19, right? But if Pres. Bush and others were involved, then we can suppose that at least 25-30 would need to be involved, and that’s being optimistic. 100 would be more accurate. Now, if the news media got a hold of credible evidence linking Bush to the 9/11 attacks could the administration hide it? Not a chance. And if 100 people were involved, what are the chances that not a single one of those people would talk? Pretty small, in my opinion. The idea that the Bush administration could pull off something like 9/11 and keep all credible evidence hidden seems highly unlikely to me. Perhaps “highly” is too gentle a word, “extremely” is closer to the truth.
The same holds true for just about every conspiracy theory. It’s not that they’re hard to believe, that they’re unlikely to have happened in the first place, or that the sources for most conspiracy theories are suspect at best–none of these things have anything to do with the reality of whether something has happened or not. It’s that conspiracy theories lack evidence to back up their claims. Could somebody in the Bush administration masterminded the 9/11 attacks? Of course they could have. Is there a plausible motive? Maybe. But could the White House keep all the witnesses and participants quiet? That’s hard for me to believe.
But for those of you who are into promulgating conspiracies, one word of advice, don’t use this kind of talk to promote your cause “Our grandchildren will not be designated as cannon fodder before they are even born. We will not submit to a techno-fascist police state built on a big lie.” Do you really expect anybody but the intellectually challenged to take you seriously when you say things like that? Plus living in a “techno-fascist police state” actually sounds pretty fun to me since I’m pretty into techno.
