This post is less a statement and more a query. If you believe that gay marriage is a civil right, I’d like to understand your point of view. I may argue with you about it, but my arguing is not intended to convince you of anything but rather to explore your thoughts and understand points of view that may be different than my own. However, there are a few rules for commenting on this post:
1. Before anything else, provide your definition of a civil right.
2. Explain where you believe civil rights come from.
3. Explain how gay marriage fits your definition of a civil right.
Comments that stray from the topic of discussion will be in danger of being deleted.

Freedom? America, land of the free, home of the brave. Then the Pilgrims showed up. Freedom? A person has but one life to live. If it makes 2 men happy to marry each other, then there is no reason to stop them. If it makes 2 women happy to be married to each other, then why should they not be allowed thishappiness? If it makes aman happy to wear a dress, then by all means, allow him this small amount of happiness. America is up-tight about everything. We are becoming Nazi-America.
